In order to make this program work within the constraints of the high school curriculum, our best bet was to offer it as transferable college credit instead of high school credit. This came as a departure from our original intention, which was to offer it through the CTE (career and technical education) course offerings. HQ: Our Studio H shop and studio space

Over the summer leading up to the launch of Studio H on August 11, 2010, we have been building out our shop and studio space, which will be housed in the old auto body shop space behind Bertie High School. We learned about the history of the building: it used to be the gymnasium for the Mars Hill School, the school for the white children prior to racial integration in public education.
